It's been about a year since the last entry.

I can't believe life has gotten so hectic that I don't even have time to update the blog once a week. My New Year's Resolution is to make time every week for uploading photos, blogging, or scrapbooking. A lot has happened in the last year, since my last blog entry! I've been working at the bank every day, and have started my massage business here in town. The massage business is getting busier, and I'm scheduling about 4 or 5 massages a week now! The kids just celebrated their Birthdays - Gunnar turned 3 and Greta turned 1! We all survived Christmas as well, and the kids had a blast, as did we!

Here are Gunnar and Daddy on our one fishing outing last summer. Josh took us out on Cooney Dam, and we had a lot of fun! It was a beautiful day and it's always nice to be out on the water. We didn't catch anything though. :o)

Gunnar and Greta at bathtime... seems like the only time we can get them to play nicely together. They both LOVE bathtime!

Here's a photo of Gunnar and Papa walking up the road from their house to ours. I love the mountains in the background.

Gunnar was READY to hunt Easter Eggs at Daycare! He couldn't wait to go out and find as many eggs as he could!

Here are some 4th of July photos. We went up to Red Lodge to watch the parade, and the kids loved it! It was a pretty hot day up there though.

Ok.... We're caught up to July. I'll work on the rest later this week hopefully! I may even have some photos of Justin's Birthday to display! To be continued...

Our computer melted!

I realize we haven't posted a blog entry since the end of December, but things got a little busy, and then our computer literally melted. We kept walking through the house trying to find out what was burning or melting for several days, and finally we realized it was something inside the PC. So we started using the computer in only 5 minute increments, and then it melted and shut down until we got a part to run power again. :o) Anyway, so we have a lot to catch up on since the end of December!

We'll start with some silly photos of Greta with her purple face from the gentian violet we used to treat her thrush. Poor girl had a purple face for almost a week!

The first week in February, we took Gunnar to Playhouse Disney! We decided to take a Mama, Daddy and Gunnar date and let Greta stay to play with Nana & Papa. I saw that Mickey and Playhouse Disney were coming to Billings, and all of Gunnar's favorite TV personalities would be there. Mickey, Goofey, Donald, Manny, the Tools, Pooh, Tigger, The Little Einsteins, all of them were coming to town! We told Gunnar he was going to see Mickey that night, and he got pretty excited, but I don't think he expected exactly what he was headed for. Parents with toddlers were pouring into the Metra in Billings, and Gunnar started to get excited when he saw the stage. Once the characters came out, he got so excited that he didn't know what to say... he just stared for the longest time. Eventually he came out of it and danced for a few songs and clapped and patted with the Little Einsteins. Here are some photos of the festivities. We all had so much fun, and Justin and I agreed it was pretty emotional to see how excited he was to be there.

Here's a photo of Greta Mae with Great Grandma Ruth. We're going to spend quite a bit of time trying to learn about gardening from Grandma Ruth this summer!

Since I've started work, Justin is at home with the kids during the day while I'm at the bank. He took some silly photos of Greta in her Bumbo seat while they were in the kitchen. She has such an infectious smile!

Gunnar found a new use for his laundry hamper - hiding spot!

While Nana & Papa were over for dinner, Daddy and Gunnar created an indoor makeshift sled and had soooo much fun "sledding" around the house.

Gunnar decided it was time for Nana to go "night night", and brought her the tiniest blankie he could find, and a picture book to read to her to help her go to sleep.
Here's Greta and Papa. She and Gunnar have what we call "Papa admiration". They love that Papa!

Here are a couple photos of Greta Mae in her bouncer. She's such a beautiful baby, and thanks to Great Grandma Ruth and Nana, we have enough bows to keep one in her hair almost every day!

We had some snow this March, and here's the view out our french doors. It snowed almost a foot, and then froze. Just a few nights ago, the temp was -12 degrees, not including wind chill! We're definitely ready for Spring, and I ordered our vegetable garden seeds from Gurney's last week, so it better hurry and warm up!
Last but not least, I finally took some photos of Greta's curls! When her hair is wet, she has these tight little curls all over her head, and then it dries wavy. It's very cute, but I think nobody believes me when I tell them she has curly hair. Anyway... here they are!

Winter Wonderland and Christmas Fun!

We have survived the Holidays - so far anyway! We were invited to a Friends and Family chili feed in Fishtail a couple days before Christmas, and we got to see some friends we hadn't seen since summer, and some I hadn't seen in years. Gunnar had a lot of fun chasing the girls, and Greta snoozed through most of the party. They had a sleigh ride, but conditions weren't great, and it was getting too cold for the mules, so Gunnar missed the ride. I think if it was too cold for the mules though, it was too cold for Gunnar. :o) Am I overprotective?! Here we are at the chili feed.
On the 23rd, we had an early Christmas Eve with Nana & Papa, since they had a busy night ahead of them on the 24th. We got all dressed up and went over for cocktails and dinner. We got some really great photos of the kids, and Gunnar got a rocking chair that is just the right size for him. All summer long, he was trying to squeeze his butt into a rocking chair made for a doll, so this chair was a welcome surprise!

Christmas morning Gunnar got up around 4:45 to see if Santa had been here. I just couldn't function yet, so I walked him back to bed, right past his presents, and he went back to sleep until 6:30. When he got up, he found that Santa had left him some surprises - a Little Einsteins learning laptop, a Play Do kit, and a little 4-wheeler that plays music and makes revving sounds. I think he was pretty excited, but he was ready to pass out by noon that day.

Then we headed over to Nana & Papa's for Christmas Dinner with Great Grandma & Grandpa and Uncle Arden, Aunt Barb and Cousin Sarah. Dinner was amazing, Gunnar was cranky, and Justin had to head to work at 5, so after dessert, we hurried up to visit Little John, Julie and the kids. Greta had it easy, as everyone wanted to hold her, so she slept away in someone's arms the whole time we were there.

We've had some pretty cold weather recently, and it's finally getting back up to the teens and twenties, which surprisingly feels really warm! The dogs survived the -20 degree weather really well - thank goodness Justin built their dog house with a "back room" so they could huddle together and stay warm. We bought them a heated water dish and blanket, but geniuses that they are, they ripped the blanket to shreds after having it for only 2 days.
Gunnar also got to go sledding for the first time this week. Santa dropped a sled off at Nana & Papa's for Gunnar, so we headed over to try it and he had so much fun sledding down the little hill by the back deck. The snow is melting now, so we just have patches of snow left, until the next snow storm, which could be this week. Hopefully next time it snows, it will be warm enough to play in it!
Here are a couple photos of Justin in uniform with his patrol Tahoe.
